President Obama says he wants to give free medical care to the 42 million people in America who don’t have health insurance. But the truth is, government records show that an estimated one-third of America’s 42 million uninsured are illegal aliens. And another third are people who could afford health insurance but who have chosen instead to buy a better house, a better car, and fancier clothes than you have.
According to the Congressional Budget Office, only about one-third of America’s uninsured would be helped by the Obama plan – at a cost of up to $2 trillion to you and me.
Obama says he wants to increase competition in the health industry, thus lowering insurance costs by forcing private insurers to compete with his free government policy. And he says that you’ll have the right to keep your current health insurance plan if you prefer.
But the truth is, the Obama plan will euthanize the private insurance industry – probably including YOUR health insurer – and force millions onto the government dole.
